Well, this is the end.

Almost 9 long years on the web, but now it has to come to an end.

ShiShi-Rendan.Com was founded by me, Rockman, with the mission statement of bringing together other fans of the game in a competitive setting to share strategies, ideas and love for a game that was considered to be devoid of "depth". Over the years I have made a lot of friends and learned a lot about this game, as I'm sure many of you have as well. But now it seems the competitive side of the game has taken a back seat in the series' latest incarnation, and as such this site has been rendered somewhat obsolete.

I still have a very big love for the game as me and the rest of ANBU still session on a regular and have hosted people from around the Tri-state area (or beyond) that have wanted to come by and get some matches in, and that will never change. Because of that the site will live on in another capacity - as a wiki for information & on the past games, taking scans and information from the official Japanese guide books, as well as years of info from ANBU and the hundreds of other players that have passed through SSR throughout the years. 

This however will be a huge undertaking and will probably take a long while before it is all finished, but rest assured it will happen.


I will still upload matches to my youtube (perhaps more so now then ever), and if anyone wants to have any matches or are even interested in setting up tournaments in some of the older games, feel free to message me there. I may take a while to answer, but rest assured, I will get to you.

So that's it, Shishi-rendan.com is finally done. It was a LOT of fun, and like I said I've met some great people along the way.

As far as my feelings for the Storm series is concerned? Well, I'll leave that for an entry on my very neglected Narutimate Blog. I'll probably post a link back here or make a youtube video about it sometime in the future..

But for now, I leave the next generation of 3D ninjas to a new Hokage...

Unless 2D makes a comeback ;)
